General POC Radio Information

POC Radios are generally new to most customers, but there has been a massive revolution in radio communications utilising NCN or national cellular networks that make radios operable worldwide long range without limits for two way communications. Find out more below.

DN400 radios from Entel deliver instantaneous PTT calling over Cellular & Wi-Fi networks. The multi-network un-steered roaming sim offers the very best network access and coverage available. These radios can be configured for simple press to talk operation (very much like older two way radios) or the more sophisticated features that you would expect of a high-end two-way radio. These are so good that the underlying solution enables your workforce to make a practically unlimited number of simultaneous calls.

There’s no need for a radio license either and  importantly you won’t suffer channel interference from other radio users, and that's common place on the older technology handsets. There's no need for your own expensive infrastructure because Entel’s simple pricing options are especially attractive when compared to traditional two-way radio systems. These radios are all supplied completely configured and all it takes to use them is to remove them from the packaging, a quick charge and away they go.

Importantly for many users, these handsets exceed MIL-STD 810C/D/E/F/G and IP68 2 meters, 4 hours Submersible, DN400 radios undergo rigorous life-cycle testing and are designed to deliver many years
of trouble free use, even in the most demanding of environments. Basically they are ready for tough situations and are extremely robust. The OLED display provides exceptional readability in all conditions. The display shows important information such as the selected channel, who’s calling, contact list, signal strength, battery charge and much more information as needed.

These POC radios can be configured to send their location to others on the network for both management and safety purposes. This information can be displayed and managed via the PC Dispatchers map. Bluetooth supports a whole range of audio accessories specifically designed for this technology.

POC radios have changed the overall business case for two-way radios, and added a multitude of features and benefits that cannot be achieved in any other way. The underlying technology is low cost and easy to use and offers for many sectors of business simply the best communications you can buy currently. There are PC despatcher features, smartphone app features, emergency features and a radio network gateway feature section.
